LPGS are seeking to appoint a passionate teacher of Art. The ability to teach photography would be an advantage however we would encourage all those who want to inspire young people to develop their creativity to apply. Art at LPGS is a thriving and successful faculty with GCSE and A-Level photography, textiles and Fine Art taught. BTEC Art & Design and Media is also taught at KS5.In the Visual Arts department we offer three key areas of study – Fine Art – Textiles – Creative Digital Media. We are committed to developing our students’ digital literacy skills and have formed a strong partnership with Adobe to offer our students access to Adobe CC and the ability to learn creative software such as Adobe Spark, Photoshop, After Effects, Animate etc. Alongside traditional approaches to Visual Arts we expect all our staff members to be proactive in developing their skills in digital technologies so as to support our developing department in offering a broad creative curriculum preparing students for future careers in the creative industries. https://www.adobe.com/uk/education/schools.html.
LPGS is an inclusive and academically successful school in South London with results, in terms of progress and attainment, that put it in the top 5% of schools nationally. It is now an all-ability school of 1700 students with a large co-educational Sixth Form. The school is part of the Impact Multi Academy Trust which is made up of 4 secondary schools and 3 primary schools across the Bromley borough.
