16-19 Funding

16 - 19 Bursary Fund

The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students overcome specific financial barriers to participation and therefore gain equal access to education.

The purpose of the 16 to 19 Bursary Fund is to support and retain students and to promote a positive attitude to learning.

The bursary fund is not to promote our school in favour of other institutions offering Post-16 education.

If you have any questions regarding the 16 to 19 Bursary Fund please email:

- Year 12 Bursary enquiries: Please email Ms Francois on tfr@lpgs.bromley.sch.uk

16-19 TUITION FUND

At LPGS, we make use of the tuition fund to support students who have not achieved a grade 4 in either English or Mathematics. Disadvantaged students, such as those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), are able to access one-to-one or small group tuition and the purchasing of textbooks and revision material associated with their courses. This funding supports students in having weekly, 50-minute sessions with a dedicated Academic Support Teacher or Graduate Tutor.

Designated study accommodation for Years 12 and 13 students comprises two supervised study areas with IT access. Our LPGS Careers Academy provides high-quality support to catch-up on vocational skills, important for preparation for adulthood, through the organisation of aspirational work experience placements and support through the UCAS process.
