The Big Draw!

The Visual Arts Department at LPGS invites you to take part in the national Big Draw celebrations this October. We will be running different drawing activities throughout October, some taking place at lunchtime and some in the evenings. Please look at the list of activities below and aim to sign up asap.

WORKSHOP 1 with Ms Hearne-Dudman (AHD) - Introduction to using Adobe Illustrator to draw and creating a simple repeating pattern.

  • · Maximum 20 spaces per session (4 sessions in total).
  • · This is repeated each week so students should only sign up for one of the 4 sessions.
  • · Sign up sheets on door of T003.
  • · Tuesdays after school 3.15-4.15pm
  • · Session 1- October 2nd
  • · Session 2- October 9th
  • · Session 3-October 16th
  • · Session 4- October 30th

WORKSHOP 2 with Ms Antoniou (EA) - Whose line is it anyway?’

  • · Tuesday 9th & 16th October.
  • · 3:15-4:15.
  • · Sign up with Ms Antoniou.
  • · ‘Whose line is it anyway?’.
  • · Objectives: line, movement, repetition, scale, collaboration, expression.
  • · Materials: large sheets of paper/rolls of paper, graphite, ink, crayons.
  • · Need large floor space.
  • · Open to students of all ages.
  • · Dress: old tracksuit bottoms/leggings & T shirt.
  • · Get changed before coming.

WORKSHOP 3 with Mr Fox Joyce (EFJ) - '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’

'20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ – drop in and draw lunch time sessions, anyone and everyone is welcome – create your own fantastical sea creature to help form a large collaborative Artwork – lunchtimes 1pm to 1.30pm in the Visual Arts Foyer area on the following dates:
