REQUIRED FOR JANUARY 2022

LPGS seeks to appoint an ambitious, creative and dynamic leader who can lead a faculty that encompasses subjects beyond their own. The successful candidate will be responsible for line managing the Heads of Drama, Dance and Music, and responsible for the outcomes of students at KS3, 4 and 5.

Our new Head of Faculty is needed because of the creation of a dedicated Performing arts faculty.  Creativity is highly valued at LPGS and we seek a visionary leader to take it to the next level.

The Heads of Faculty, along with Heads of Key Stage, form the Extended Leadership Team that work closely with a small SLT team to deliver outstanding learning and personal development at this highly successful non selective girls’ comprehensive school with a mixed Sixth Form.

LPGS seeks to appoint a dynamic History Teacher who is committed to supporting all students achieving their potential. The results in 2019 and then in 2020, were the best ever at LPGS and put us in the top 5% of schools nationally at both GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach History across all Key Stages. This position would be suitable for either experienced teachers or new entrants to the profession. However, there may be additional opportunity/responsibility for more experienced candidates. Those who are ECTs will be given additional non-contact time in light of the fact that their training year has been cut short. Those appointed will also have access to all our online CPD and team meetings in the interim so they can start to feel part of the team. For experienced colleagues, additional responsibilities may be available.

This is a fixed term contract but may develop into another opportunity.
