National Reforms have resulted in A-Level subjects switching from a modular format to a linear one whereby all final A-Level exams are taken at the end of Year 13. The documents listed below will indicate the structure of each course.
Please be aware that your pathway will be determined by your average point score (APS). The criteria for each possible pathway is listed below. Individual subjects may also have particular entrance requirements. Check carefully for each subject under the heading ‘Entry Qualifications.’
- Students with a GCSE APS of 7.0+ will be eligible to take 4 A-Levels, however this is not compulsory
- Students with a GCSE APS of 5.3-6.9 will take 3 A-Levels
- Students with a GCSE APS of 4.0-5.2 will take one of our BTEC packages
Think carefully about realistic and interesting subjects for you. Enjoyment is as important for success as hard work.
