Pupils may wish to purchase a scientific calculator which will also be suitable for Mathematics through the school. The Mathematics Faculty recommend a Casio which is available at school. This calculator will be necessary for some science lessons particularly in Year 9. Please refer to letter from Head of Maths sent out in May.
Pupils are encouraged to have their own dictionary and thesaurus. Competent spellers should have a pocket dictionary (Oxford/Collins). Alternatively pupils may prefer to use ‘Spell It Yourself’.
Modern Foreign Languages:
All pupils are expected to have a Modern Foreign Languages dictionary in the language they are studying.
Each subject department will explain particular needs to pupils during the first lesson.
