    On Friday 28th September Year 12 Fine Artists and Photographers visited Hastings in order to carry out some coursework elements and gather resources to use back at school. All students took a series of both digital and analogue photographs while searching around the fishing huts and boats on the beach front.   • November Means Movember!

    Movember is a once a year charity, designed to promote awareness of cancers that especially affect men (specifically prostate, testicular cancer) and raise awareness of mental health issues in men. Last year, a selection of male staff from LPGS raised £2155 for the charity – a full £600 more than the target they set themselves. They would like to smash that if possible.     On 5th September 2018 Mr Fox Joyce, Head of Visual Arts, was invited to speak at the private view for the latest Rivers of the World exhibition at the Oxo Tower in London. The exhibition, which is open at the Oxo Tower until 9th September, demonstrates the wonderful creative work achieved by a group of LPGS Year 9 students and a number of schools in London, across the country and in many other countries.     Excellent GCSE Results for LPGS

    Provisional analysis shows that Langley Park School for Girls’ results have improved even further this year, despite changes to exams and grading methods.  Taking the new grade 4 as equivalent to the old ‘C’ grade, 82% of students gained the equivalent of 5 or more A* - C including English and Maths. 228 girls took the exams and of these 35% achieved 5 or more grades at 7 – 9 or the equivalent of A* - A.   We are especially pleased with our English results, with 93% of girls achieving grades 9-4. In Maths, 86% gained grades 9-4  and in Science 83%...
