IBJJF Kids Pan American Champion 2017

We are delighted to share the news that year 8, Nia Blackman has achieved the coveted title of IBJJF Kids Pan American Champion 2017. This is the second year running that Nia has won this title which has been no easy feat with her training up to 8 hours a week in jiu-jitsu after school, plus 4 hours a week strength and conditioning from 6am before school. As well as keeping up with this busy schedule she has maintained consistently high levels in her academic studies.

Whilst battling her way to the top in California, back across the pond, Nia was awarded 1st Runner up for Junior sports person of the year by Active Wandsworth. In her absence her coach graciously received the award on her behalf

We wish Nia the best of luck in her next international tournament which will be in Abu Dhabi, April 16th UAEJJF Youth World Pro Championships where we hope she continues to build on her achievements.
